Douglas L. Fuqua Jr.

Doug is a native Texan and was born in Houston, Texas in 1969. He was raised in Katy, Texas and attended Texas State University (formerly known as Southwest Texas State University) graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1992. Doug is a true entrepreneur working and starting several businesses the first ten years of his professional career finding his way through several industries including Business Services, Telecommunications, Express Mail and Internet Services before he found his true passion of serving others in the field of Financial Advisement. Doug started his financial career as a Financial Advisor with UBS Financial Services Inc. (formerly known as PaineWebber). Given his history of starting and operating his own businesses, he learned early on with UBS that working for a big firm was not a good fit for his long-term goals of providing his clients with real independent financial advice and owning his own financial practice. Doug left UBS Financial Services and founded Fuqua Financial in 2003 working as an independent financial advisor where he remains to this day serving and providing financial advice to a broad range of clients. He and his wife, Deanna who he met while attending Texas State University in 1989, have been married for 25+ years and love living in Sugar Land, Texas. Proud parents of Tyler, Trent and Trey.
